The End of the Sixties: four photo essays

The Summer of Love seemed to last three years longer in the South. Some of the spirit of that time is documented here. These photos were shot over a 30 month period. Much of the work was originally published in The Great Speckled Bird, Atlanta's underground / anti-war newspaper.

These essays offer a look at the musicians who played there, the local hip scene, a huge pop festival, and an anti-war protest.
